Who Inspires Me

The gift of gratitude

Humility without attitude

Kindness unannounced

The joy in your bounce

Fighting to live

Living to give

No formalities shown

My house is your home

Tears without cares

Just going nowhere

You just don’t like jokes

Your laughter, no hoax

To be kind, no regrets

Your faith put to the test

No money and no greed

Love is all you need

Devoid of jealousy

Implausible, the envy

A fast turn of the cheek

When tomorrow is bleak

A bright, sunny day

Your eyes in what you say

The glance when you wake

No lies, no mistakes

The plain simple truth

Forever in youth

The promise, eternal

Your writings in journal

A kiss that is felt

The heart that will melt

The winsome reply

No questions, no whys

No rebuts or retorts

No plans to abort

Saying yes all the time

No reason or rhyme

Made to entertain

No gossip or refrains

A good book and a chair

No matter what you wear

The thanks you always give

I breathe to see you live

The two became as one

Eternally undone

It’s honesty I see

In all you do for me

God’s gift of you came true

Inspiring, the view

Faith

By grace, the scales are fallen from the sinful, blind man’s eyes

Into the deep imagined, it’s God’s grace, upon him lies

Awakened thus, with forward thrust, his mystery unfolds

And grapples with the blessed truth, unveiling what he’s told

Far from freedom, it’s understood, he’s purchased with a price

Awareness of his path to follow with cross and sacrifice

Born again of Spirit as he bows down to his knees

Repentant man of sorrows, recognizing what he sees

The righteous man is justified through Jesus Christ alone

Adoption in the kingdom has placed him in his home

Sanctified by grace alone, God’s election by decree

The promise of eternal life, the promise to be free

Remembering God’s sovereignty, His will, always be done

The offer made to everyone, yet salvation just for some

Relationship with Jesus Christ, to worship and adore

That He is risen from the dead, all authority and more

No ands, ifs or buts about it, this telling truth implies

That once he’s given his life to God, eternity there in lies

Been chosen as the child of God, inclined to holiness

The sin he wears on side of nature, he rids through blessedness

The inclination and the will, emotions, mind, the soul

In Heaven, he’ll be glorified, in Jesus, he’ll be whole

Deliverance from prince of lies, no tears or dark of night

Those memories fade, they slip away, no worries, fears or fright

What ever he believed in, listen , ‘twas God who gave him love

His destiny was far from grace, the glory from above

Faith is not just to believe, the demons do all that

Place the amor on and pray, be ready for attacks

For faith is trust in Jesus Christ, was risen from the dead

Faith is giving all his life to Him who sacrificed and bled

In having faith, to understand, that Christ took on his sin

His righteousness was given him, to start his life again

This is a choice, the choice is His, His mercy was ordained

Through Jesus, He’s the the only way to rid him of his pain

Lest he pretends the easy road, from saving grace was made

He knows not what he’s truly got, he might as well been played

And He proclaimed “they hated Me,” and this they’ll do to him

And persecution comes so fast in this world gloom and grim

Yet, victory won, was at the cross, defeated was the foe

The name above all name arose, by faith alone, now knows

Surrender

Lord, my God, I pray to commit my life fully to you

As I come to surrender my whole life, accepting this very truth

I cease to be anxious or worried with panic, drowned in my own fears

I choose for You to guide me so that my eyes can be opened and clear

I trust in you completely in thought word and deed

Please take away my pride, idolatry and needs

For all I need is you as I must find my decrease

In giving You all my worship, so that in my life You increase

You are Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the one true God above

Teach me how to grow in peace, resting in Your love

Show me how to sacrifice as I pick up my cross

Without You I just cannot be, I feel so scared and lost

Father, let it be Your will, whatever path You’d choose

I plead for Your divine direction, as sin would have me lose.

Be it blessings, joy, and happiness that You’d bestow on me

Or sorrow, pain, and suffering, I accept it as decreed

The path of least resistance is the broad path straight to hell

I’ve been on it for so long, I know it very well

Yet, surrendering my life to You, the narrow path I take

With trust in Thee, eternally, Your love that I partake

Lord, give me wisdom to discern the glory road to You

By having faith, hope, and trust, surrendering to Your view

I know it well, yet cannot tell, distractions all the time

But, surrender to Almighty God, be foremost in my mind

I turn to You, O blessed One, to carry me through the deep

Layers upon layers of darkness that I keep

And then Your light, with Thine reply, gives breath to me once more

I give my life to You, complete, to worship and adore

Thank You for Your grace and love, Your blessings, mercy too

Thank you for the guidance given, humbling and true

Thank you for Your steadfast love, Your sacrifice on the cross

Without Your love, I can’t exist, I count it all as loss

A Dozen Things

All the things she doesn’t show

Those dozen things, would not expect

She takes my thoughts and yet foregoes

So I wouldn’t stoop and recollect

At times, the urge, pontificate

She tries to listen through her smiles

She checks her watch, deliberates

There are no answers, only trials

And then the funk, the doom and gloom

Silence, deep, and full of cries

Where have you gone, inside your room

She gives her best and wonders why

She understands me there’s no doubt

Cannot compare her knowledge base

Inside my skin I scream and shout

No tally kept, been all erased

Those eyes of blue with orange specks

Truth be told, cannot deceive

She likes me strong to stand erect

No time for doubts, but to believe

A list is placed, an plea ordained

Come now, at once, and do that now

Whatever lost is now regained

In sacrifice, the horse and plow

The soft remains in her restraint

She seldom buckles in my rant

Despite my drama, trite and quaint

Not a whisper, not a pant

She knows me better than I know

My trust is placed inside her heart

A better man, I see my glow

When she’s beside me, takes her part

What God has shown me, lasted years

This gift of love rolled up in her

With all my failings and my fears

Time went so fast, in such a blur

I owe it all, she asks for none

‘Twas God, she said, made her this way

In finding her, life had begun

This grace of love in true display

To God, give thanks, His gift divine

His mercy shown, did not deserve

The moments passing, out of time

She showed her love which I conserve

And all those things she does, respect

In sacrificial eyes I see

I never thought I could expect

That she could love a wretch like me

Acuity

It is better to see than to be seen

Similarly, to listen, than to hear

The meaning lost and split in between

The heart then proclaims it very clear

Adage states, that one might agree

‘Tis better to give than to receive

The gift from above, the will is thus freed

In humility, one trusts and believes

Not all with patience, a glancing smile

The many will boast and also reject

The pitiful journeys and haunting trials

Binding the truth in disrespect

Who visions the majesty imagined

To trade it for money and fame

Founded treasure in field, partitioned

For the glory of Him who came

Who colors the day with its sunlight

But for science, there’s no one to claim

Who gives radiance to darkness by moonlight

From miracles or set in cosmic terrain

Is it just two plus two, mathematics

No Potter to speak and create

A matter of evolutionary tactics

It designed calculation, not fate

With all vast and intricate knowledge

Without wisdom what lessons were gained

Who frees us from folly and bondage

Who makes us see glory through pain

If it were simple and evident

From molecules truth was conceived

That natural selection was meant

To be science and worshipped, perceived

Then, it is better to boast and to toast

To the little gods, given the nod

Who then, to blame, pity the most

To those who love Jesus as God

Acuity is keen in one’s thought

Not sarcasm, lust, greed or wit

Once dead, whatever you brought

Meaningless foibles, worth spit

The legacies, useless, unfounded

Like Towers of Babel, proclaimed

Left your beliefs fully grounded

In trite peccadilloes and shame

The only true thought, bears repeating

The love our God who is King

If in you, place your trust, you are cheating

Your salvation that Christ only brings

A Great Divide

Between us there’s a great divide

Time and distance cannot conquer

‘Twas told obey and then abide

Too late to say you’re sorry, yonder

With pain and torment, can’t forget

One lies in darkness and reminded

Decisions founded on regret

That pride is evil, often blinded

One often mourns, what one can’t see

The wretched turns that come and go

No recompense despite the pleas

One life is given, one life to show

The line is drawn, which side you’re on

The simple measure of your worth

The end awaits and then belongs

The just reward, the sobering truth

The great divide which separates us

From endless suffering and holy bliss

Which life you lead defines the trust

In God or in the set abyss

Free will ensnares, the choice is ours

But One, all guilty, all are shamed

The countdown to the final hours

No one stand with, no one to blame

Before a holy God, we stand

To justify the paths we’ve taken

The law defiled, justice commands

Eternal punishment, the token

But Who would speak before the throne

Who bore our sins, His righteousness

Who longs to be with us at home

Relationship dawns blessedness

The universe will pass away

And all creation turn to dust

The word of God will never sway

He wants our love, He wants our trust

The answer lies in whom you choose

On pride you stand or Jesus Christ

Would you risk your soul to lose

Or faith in Him who sacrificed

Come and Follow Me

Are you ready for this invitation

Would you imagine the gift inside

Can you fathom emancipation

You’re not worthy and yet you hide

Do you recognize from where the source is

Are you grafted in your foolish pride

Perhaps you failed to believe in what grace gives

Juggling doubts, you just cast aside

We all are born into castigation

Reflection taints the mirrored glance

Reviled, rebuked, the consternation

It’s all a story, we’re in a trance

Do you truly need investigation

Hung on the cross, He truly died

In the balance, appropriation

You’re looking out, not deep inside

You’re slowly sinking in desperation

A point remembered, this one can’t fly

The days are counted, enumeration

Can you surrender or surely die

Why the need for corroboration

Why the feeling to be set free

Who can give you elaboration

Miracles happen but you can’t see

God is calling, no equivocation

Jesus is asking with humble plea

Providential declaration

Come and see, He said, follow me

A sweet advance, a holy proclamation

The Son of God to be glorified

A sanctified amalgamation

To Bring together and not divide

So, be prepared, this transformation

Having faith in Jesus Christ, alone

Born again, a regeneration

Begin to see His light and throne

His holy, righteous justification

The grace of God bestowed on thee

From sin we turn through sanctification

All glory Yours, on bended knee

Who sacrificed for your salvation

In three days risen from the grave

Who’s worthy of all our adoration

From His love, is what He gave

He conquered death, its devastation

He took your loss and all your pain

And once for all with determination

Despatched the serpent, eternal flames

Paradigm Shift

Confessions, profound, claims of process, decreed

In order to give peace a chance, to be freed

I cannot control what had never been given

In the waiting room, manifests, the point to be driven

That God would so love this lost creature, reflected

Weighted by sin, desperate mortal, dejected

Cant ever repay what was conceived by birth

No payment, no offering, had value or worth

The life that was led, riddled pain, incomplete

Fear and anxiety, triumphant, replete

The future was grim, yet to hold and control

The hole was dug deeper, the abyss did unfold

The present day musings in full tragic display

I saw myself stricken in panic today

And all the while tending to plug all the holes

The hole that was in me was increasingly cold

The past held no laughter, in tatters and ruins

Whatever held love, torn apart by the union

Who could ever forgive what lay lost, yesteryear

Divided, the cost, draped in tragedy, tears

Who could console future, past,or the present

Who could forgive with such bitter resentment

Who could make right with this terrible wrong

Who could come forward to be humble and strong

Envision the beauty of God’s holy grace

In giving His Son at the cross, could erase

Offenses committed, forgiven, designed

By Christ’s sacrifice, His forgiveness, divine

I took hold of fear and set anxiety aside

Tired of anger, frustration and pride

And enter the peace, only God could provide

He told me He loved me, nothing left there to hide

I walk with Him daily, every moment I can

His love is for certain, from my fear, made a stand

To honor and praise Him, to give thanks and pray

Depend on Him solely, even when I would stray

Today, a new lesson, a paradigm shift

As God gave the message, my ears heard the gift

It isn’t what done, what great works are displayed

With with gratitude, attitude, love God every day

The Book

Warnings told of what would happen

Pride and circumstance prevailed

The glory road, the dreams were dampened

The Cross of Christ with driven nails

Before creation, divine decree

An inclination did take place

The wretched choice, idolatry

We were but holy, now, disgraced

All foretold, it didn’t matter

Our sin entwined through every pore

Our walk with God, the future shattered

Destruction at the very core

And throughout history, not even one

Could see the light, be seasoned salt

Unraveled glory, came all undone

The curse was us, we brought the fault

This God who cares, this God who made

If power be, why evil then

And if Your good, then why dissuade

Please tell us why and not the when

A curse was given, a curse was shown

My plan enacted, Incarnate Son

And throughout time you haven’t grown

Where have you come, what have you done

So, tell us then, great Mystery

What’s happening, when will it end

Our evil soaked in history

What did You do, Whom did You send

So many years, don’t understand

The blood baths and the waisted bones

Then origins, descent of man

We bed the ape, our happy home

With all we did, Your covenant

In grace and mercy, bring us home

But in our folly, irreverent

We hang on to our earthly thrones

Why do You care, why do You love

The Potter made the pot with care

You hear us curse this God above

In stark defiance, in bleak despair

Until the sudden act of grace

My mercy shown upon the cross

Onto your knees, in saving face

Repent to understand the loss

He hung in pain, He took on sin

Forgive them for they do not know

And then He died and rose to win

To crush death’s grasp, and Satan’s glow

It’s all decreed, it’s all been planned

Before creation, in My thoughts

That, Incarnation, Christ be man

To destroy enmity and plots

And now that You have risen, Lord

The Lamb of God, Your rightful place

The ransom paid, now can afford

Believe in You, accept Your grace

You are the very Son of God

The trumpet sound, You’ll come again

You are the Christ, not Satan’s fraud

Eternal triumph in the end

We need to read, we need to hear

Inspired word of the Paraclete

In every verse, it’s very clear

God’s victory and sin’s defeat
